according to sky sports italia we've agreed a fee with AS Roma for Brazilian goalkeeper Doni Doni is 31 years old and can only be seen as back up for Reina imo
I would be happy enough with that.Strange though that he would be happy enough to sit on the bench and play Carling Cup games.Wiki have confirmed Liverpool as his current club.
Absolute ****ing joke of a signing imo. Peter Gulasci has done more than enough to be our #2. jasus he managed to dislodge Jones even though Jones was bought for that reason!. Lad has a talent in abundance and its sicking to see young lads come up and get treated like this. He is going on loan again! this season which i think is wrong as he should be at the club.
Bit of a strange signing if true. I'd prefer one of the young keepers we have at the club given the chance to be our 2nd choice keeper.
Wheres Gulacsi's top flight appearances and international caps?Send him out to get some experience.Better for him than sitting on his hole for a year while we still have very solid cover.
i think they want to send peter out on loan for a season and brad will be sold so getting doni in for a year or 2 is not a bad move imo
Agree with you darling. Peter needs first team football an he's not going to get it with us at the moment so first team experience with a championship side would do him the world of good. I just hope Doni isn't given a huge contract as we don't need those kind of contracts.
Doni is third choice keeper for Roma and has the same amount of football and Peter last season. In fact peter had more because he went out on loan to Tranmere.
I don't think I've ever seen Gulacsi play but I've seen him in the warm up tonnes of times and he can't kick for shit. Needs games to improve this, another season or 2 on loan would seem the best option.
Whats the story with Brad Jones again? Bit odd if true that Doni has signed, only seen him few times in CL (don't see much Seria a) and to be honest he was never that great from what I seen.
Jones being sold I guess. He never seemed to settle in. I seen him play 2 or 3 times for the reserves and tbh Jamie Stephens looked more cop than he did.
(via Jamie Dalton) According to Sky Sport Italia, Liverpool offered Doni €900,000 a year where he was looking for €2.5m per annum.Just come in from Sky Sport Italia. Doni rejects Liverpool due to wage breakdown. greedy fcuker if true
Chances are Doni would never play whereas Gulacsi needs games somewhere else, you're not going to find much closer to a no brainer than that.
