Also for anyone that fancies it,. Fantasy football for the tournament, it's always good craic as you never know what will happen in these things, I remember last time round, I had Marcus Berg in my team and he hammered in the goals http://en.u21fantasy.uefa.com/
England Squad England squad Goalkeepers: Frankie Fielding (Blackburn Rovers FC), Jason Steele (Middlesbrough FC), Alex McCarthy (Reading FC). Forwards: Nathan Delfouneso (Aston Villa FC), Daniel Sturridge (Chelsea FC), Danny Welbeck (Manchester United FC), Connor Wickham (Ipswich Town FC). Not too shabby either, and they could have included Andy Carroll and Jack Wilshere amongst others.
I would of fancied England if they had been allowed to add Carroll and Wilshere, they look a bit light in midfield.
List of qualified teamsThe following 8 teams qualified for the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship Belarus Czech Republic Denmark (hosts) England Iceland Spain Switzerland Ukraine
Was just saying to one of the lads, nothing to watch over the summer apart from GAA, this will fill a bit of a gap. Copa America then in July. Setup a fantasy league with mates for a bit interest. http://en.u21fantasy.uefa.com code *401-77 Tenner in if anyone fancies it.
Spain could have included Pedro and Bisquets if they wanted too, now thats not too shabby The thing that stands out most to me is the majority of that squad are on loan from big clubs, the Spanish squad is filled with youngsters from all over the shop (no Real Madid players at all). England's lesser sides are producing **** all unless their just being ignored.
Diego Capel is in the Spain Squad.Always though he was around the 24-25 Age.Spain have a very impressive squad and keep a eye on Iker Muniain as he is a hot prospect.
Yeah looking foward to seeing this lad very talented. Spain nearly 2/1 favourite for the tournament will have a bit of that.
I can't wait for this to start. It's always a really good tournament to watch and produces some cracking games.I remember watching Ryan Babel star in it and was so excited when we signed him. What a let down that proved to be.Hope we see a few gems unearthed at this event.
Had a nibble on Spain at 2/1 this morning too. Hopefully their defence holds up because the rest of their team is quality. Shame Pacheco missed out and also Sergio Canales who was brilliant last summer in the U-19 or 20's tournament that Pacheco bagged a few goals in.
With the signing of Henderson looking foward to this a little bit more. England kick off on sunday 12th @19:45 against Spain should be a good game.
