They should be strapped to a chair and forced to read every single one of 'Myposts' posts, while being suspended upside down from a ceiling wearing that Everton pink kit, while having the song "I'm a barbie girl in a barbie world" played repeatedly into a set of head-phones super-glued to their weasely little ears

joke of a system, we must be one of the softest touches in the world when it comes to white collar crime or corruption.

    UK are jailing them.
US are marching them out in front of the worlds media in hadcuffs.
We pension them off and attempt to sweep it under the carpet.

This is where we should take a leaf out of the French's book,. And do a proper march and protest on the Dail, and demand the punishment that this pr!cks and crooks deserve.

Why should we suffer for their wealth.

We are too easy going as a people, while 99% of the time its a positive it leads to a better society, with little or no trouble or agro, that 1% of the time though is when we need a backbone to stand up to these people.

In the Dail we have a TD that has been bribed time and time again (Lowry) We have a former Taoiseach who said he didnt have a bank account yet is still getting the full pension that the position entitled him to. We have a former Financial regulator receiving 100k + a year in pension even though he monumentally messed up his job and in doing so bankrupted the country.
I could pick out 20-30 other examples of this crap in public life before we even discuss the banking sector.

If it wasnt so serious it would be laughable.

You are correct...recently three councillors were charged with corruptions under, yes wait for it, the 1916 Prevention of Corruption Act, how wonderfully advanced we are... also remember Bertie slagging off the Director of Corporate Enforcement for looking for extra staff...

Look at Bernie Madoff doing 150 years in the nick! This is what happens when FF are in power for so long...

This sort of thing really drives me mad in this country..
The MP in UK gets jailed for 16 months, for dishonestly claiming £30,000.
Yet in Ireland a senator dishonestly claims €80,000 get suspended, goes to court about it, gets €17,000 plus court costs back!!!
    Only in Ireland!!!

The guy comes across as a very decent skin. But giving yourself 200,000 grand or whatever is was does not send a good message.
Of course I think the foreign banks by coming after people like Wallace are shooting themselves in the foot.
Will discourage others from taking out loans in the future.
