Aston Villa vs Liverpool (Away)

Right since Glen lost us the last game i thought id have a go at this one, my record is 1 win and 1 draw so far

I was hoping that we beat Spurs so we could give the young lads a go in this game but that wasnt to be so we should be going all out for this game to get a win.

flanagan will have a tough time against Young but luckily enough for him young cuts inside most of the time, i think we have the forwards to rip their defence apart but The King has to do his bit and get the team up for this one

Well Birmingham will need a result against the spuds to be sure to stay up so even a draw if we win will be enough. I know the Europa league isn't everyone’s bag but I’d like us to get it so that we have something tangible to show for our turnaround.

Any win will do, I’ll go for 1 nil.

Just because we didn't get a result doesn't mean the lads didn't try to turn in a performance.

Anyway this is the villa thread.

 

Would start Carroll instead of Maxi personally. Only way he's gonna get into the swing of things is by playing games. If Meireles is still injured then think Shelvey is a good shout

 

I wouldn't start with Carroll - stick him on the bench, give him half an hour if needs must.
The simple fact is he's just getting over an injury and is in nowhere good enough shape to be starting what could be a vital game for us v Villa.

This last game of the season won't get him fit for next year - pre-season will take care of that.

Go with the team, injuries permitting, that destroyed Fulham last week.
