can't really comment, only games I've been to were against Liverpool in Cork & Bulgaria at Croke Park (where we asked to sit down) but the atmosphere was awful, think they booed some ex rangers player? Anyway when they travel what do they sing at the ground or is it all stand up for the boys in green sh1te
Come on you boys in green, same song as Celtic have as well that Derry City also sing. After that not much, atmosphere at Irish games is dreadful to say the least unless your at a game that has a lot riding on it.
Remember we were at the Cyprus away game, and the lads had a song bout Stephen Irelands granny!! Cant remember wat it went like, but very funny!
The booing of ex Rangers players by a few idiots really does my head in.Same goes for the Mexican wave.
Been in the singing section last couple of times and bit of atmosphere there but the empty ground really kills it
Go to all the home games and yeah agree with above and espeacially the mexican waves...wrecks my head.. Atmosphere at Ireland matches is terrible. Only good one I can remember in recent times is the italy game at croker that we drew. Was amazing that day..
the wearing of celtic jerseys to the games do my head in too.remember reading on another football site a derry city fan was giving dogs abuse at an irish away for wearing his derry city shirt by two lads in celtic tops!!
Keano, I dream of a team of Kilbanes and other such gems. I remember they had songs printed on sheets of paper in the old landsdowne I'd imagine the away trips are a buzz alright but home games are painful.
never been to a live irish game but seen loads in pubs , ive heard you'll never beat the irish, ole ole ole ,we all follow jackies army, keano keano games like the holland 3-1 match few years ago was great atmosphere.
That was 1-0 that game and the atmosphere was primeval that evening. It will never be bettered, even the italy and france home games 2 years ago didnt come close to the holland game

The atmosphere in Paris was the best I've seen we took over the eiffel tower and sang songs for the whole day. Stand up/sit down for the boys in green, steven irelands grannys alive alive oh, we all dream of a team of gary breens etc. I sit in the singing section at aviva there are a good few songs sang there they have started to introduce the likes of depeche mode-just can't get enough. But the "best" of all was during the russia game which was not long after Mick ally died when there was there is only one Mick lally and we hummed the theme tune to glenroe
