Should have him already only for Rafa's budget and that deal to be pulled back in the summer of 2009.

Has been injured a lot over the last year or two since then AFAIK but by all accounts before this looked an outstanding young talent and as Fowlers God says he was Rafa's number one target.
He's scored 8 goals in 58 games for Fiorentina, 4 of them came in 2 games, so 4 goals in 54 matches. YouTube hero.
im not arguing here bud because i see the facts but my question is how many times has he been marked out of the game and had 2 players on him, (i honestly dont know, im looking for your opinion here) and he would be playingin a better team, and he has i know been playing as a winger for most of the games for Fiorentina, like i said not arguing incase it seems im coming across sarcastic as im not saying we should definitly have him, im really just curious of what people think of him
I wouldn't sign him, before we got Suarez maybe, but not now. I do think we need another striker but I think it'll be a young striker somebody like Wickham, Suarez Carroll Dirk and Wickham would be good squad strength. I don't think Wickhams figures are that outstanding either but he's only 18 and hasnt had a majour injury already in his career like Jovetic.

i like Connor Wickham, he's in the Andy Carroll mould, but is a little raw all the same, what about Daniel Sturridge, i wonder would Chavski part with him

Really, Wickham. He is good but Im not sold on him. When I lived in Norwich I heard Arsenal scouts were all over him and pretty much camped out at Ipswich reserve games (think he was 16 at time) but then just disappeared.
We've been at alot of his games, I don't pretend to watch all his games and as I said in other post his figures aren't outstanding, but I can see us going for him or someone similar as the player signed is likely to be 4th choice, so you either need a young up and coming player who's prepared to play 10-15 games and try grab his oppurtunity when it comes, or an older striker prepared to be a squad filler, and we haven't been to lucky with the latter in recent years.
I hear you but how much do you reckon Ipswich will want for Wickham or Southampton for Chamberlain. You are looking at in excess of 10 million and it is a big gamble that may or not pay off. It doesnt always pay off e.g Walcott for 9 million is debatable in terms of value. Id venture he (Wickham) will be a better option than Ngog, but thats not saying much. He's a super player, destroyed us in europe,....very injury prone though ! 50/50 imho, gonna have to sit on the fence on this one folks !
