OK i'm not the only gay in the village but i will bet on most things and always have a bet on this as since i backed those lunatics Lordy from Finland 5-6 years ago this competition has been a licence to print money for me. Germany last year were a stone bonking certainty (Lana is singing again this year, song is not great but I still love her anyway).

The betting suggests France have this in the bag, they are 13/8 favs with most bookies. An unusual Eurovision song, classical singer. It doesn't do it for me but with judges having 50% of the votes this year they will probably love it.

I am waiting until after the semis to have a bet but will probaby be backing each way in the without France market. Get paid place at 1/4the odds if finish top 5 and have a win if second to France.

At the moment I would not touch UK at 8/1 second favs. Who in Europe votes for UK? Ireland been slashed to 10/1. I think Jedward aren't even sure to make it to the finals let alone win.

Anybody any fancies or am I alone in loving to bet on this?

I heard on the radio this morning that Jedward did an interview in Russia, they had a English to Russian translator with them and the translator was totally lost with what they were saying - it was meant to be funny, going on what FM104 said now mind you. Cant find it on You Tube.

    Found it

What must the guy in the green be thinking!?

**** sake didn't back them at 16's when I said I would. Now into 11/2. PP is running scared. An ew bet at 16's would have been nice.

I backed them on BF at 10's. I think they will will do well.

There are not going to win it but should maybe make the top 10 because of the fun factor, I have a few notes on Hungary to make the top 10 at even money

Jedward are nothing if not entertaining and are clearly in on their own joke. When they were on the late late you could see Edward the odd time looking a the audience almost with a knowing wink when John would say something stupid.

As hard as it is to believe now when Ant & Dec started off it was part of their contract that Ant always stand to the left so viewers would know which was which and you will never see Ant not on the left when they are presenting, so Im sure its the same with Jedward with John always on the left.

Right lads do you like winning money virtually risk free? Yes?

Right then get to the ATM and get out as much as you can and back Sweden at 11/10 with VC to finish in top 10 of Eurovision. I don’t even want any commission from your winnings. Just don’t say I didn’t tell you.

After watching the semi finals I just can't see this song being outside top 10. It must be in the top 10 songs surely. I actually think it could be top 4 but playing safe at top 10. Paddy Power not betting on this market yet but they should be later today.

Yep talking about Sweden mate. Louis Walsh on Today FM just said that Sweden will be hard to beat he reckons. He is over at the Eurovision and you know that Louis will have been going around sussing out who is popular with the press from different countries.

I would say have a listen to the song before putting your hard earned on. It is very catchy.

We cant afford to win otherwise next budget there will be a 1% eurovision tax to pay to put the bloody thing on here.

There was a lot of rumours that after we won the last time that RTE made sure only shite acts got to represent us from then on as it couldnt afford to keep staging it.
