Hi All, A small word of warning.... never ever ever place a bet with 188Bet in Anfield.... they are a total SCAM!!!!!!!!!!! Last week I bet £10 on Liverpool to beat Newcastle 3-0 at 9/1 which we did ...at the time I was thinking happy days.... then after the match I went to pick up my £100 quid bet...only to find the bookmakers closed.... a match official said your going to have to pick up your winnings online... not ideal but I said grand... went to 188bet.com.....found out I had to input my code from my betting slip..they took 24 hrs to get back to me to confirm i won. then to get my winnings i had to open an 188bet account....which i did.... then it takes another 2 days to claim my winnings... £100.. they sent me an email as my account is in ireland my winnings would need to be in € the scamers give me €100 EURO.....yes EURO.........then to get my cash paid to an irish bank account they charge €20 ..... so for my £100 quid win am only going to get €80... a JOKE.... and its taking alot of jumping in and out of hoops to get it... NOTE TO FELLOW REDS DO NOT BET WITH 188 BET.... Never place your best inside anfield! BE WARNED!
I would try writing to the club about that, it can do no harm! I think its a rip off and surely LFC cany condone it. Dear Mr Ayre
Mr Ayre only cares about the dosh that they pay for the privilage of being there .... IMHO, you'd be better off: - speaking to SOS and asking them to advise all their members of the unfair treatment, so others can boycott them - complain to the Isle of Man Gaming Regulator (click here) who licence them - There is a complaints form etc. (click here) for 188bet's correspondent address etc. Assuming the above doesn't work, start posting your experience on some of the larger gambling chat forums .... name and shame my friend, name and shame
I'm sure the club dont know that This is going on and will only know if you raise it with them Drop a e-mail to Ian ayre properly explaining what happened and see what response you get
Hi All, Thanks for your feedback and comments... I decided to write to 188bet to air my complaint!!!! and to be fair they have got back to me quickly.... RESULT: 188bet have decided to let me withdraw my funds from my account without any fee...so they have knocked the €20 withdraw fee off. As a gesture of goodwill they have added an additional €20 to my account balance which I do not have to bet with. So I have to give credit to them...they took onboard my coments and acted.....All in all I still won't be betting with them on my next trip over as I wouldnt like to be fighting to get my winnings every time as it takes the goodness out of it!!!! But fair play to the customer service department at 188bet. Thanks Lads D
Nice to know you got sorted mate, hopefully they will look at that, and get it fixed so its not an issue anymore, or at least warn people.
@ LucanRed Hi mate, Glad to hear you have gotten satisfaction here. From the original read of this thread, I was of the impression that you'd already made representations with 188Bet but perhaps not. Anyway, congrats on your win and subsequent resolution ....
