Emilio Izaguirre is a Honduran players, who will be 25 on th 10th of May 2011, signed for celtic in August 2010 on a four year contract for an undisclosed fee, he has 45 caps for Honduras, scoring 1 goal. He plays left back and has just recently won SPFA Players player of the year and is regarded as becoming one of the best left backs in the world in time.

Beram Kayal is a Israeli footballer, who is 23 today (May 2nd) who also plays for Celtic and signed for them in July 2010 also for an undisclosed fee, he signed a 4 year deal, has 18 caps for Israel. He has recieved great praise from his manager Neil Lennon and various other spl managers as he is known for his passing ability and tough tackling.

Neil Lennon has previously stated that he wants to keep these two players and will try to open contract talks with both of these players at the end of the season. And if Aiden McGeady could go for £10m, how much to get both these players as i reckon they would fit in well.

They both fit FSG's policy of young players and they are standing out like a sore thumb in Celtic, so i think we should snap them up before someone else does,

PRICE: Between 15 to 20 million to get them both imo, possible sway deals for maybe Paul Konchesky and Christian Poulsen + 5-7 million for both.

    Opinions please people

I dont watch scottish football at all but I would be very surprised if anyone would pay/rate Konchesky & Poulson at a combined 7-10 Million. TBH If we could get these two off the wages and make 1-2 mill combined I would be delighted. Could insua and aquallani or someone like that be done??

i dont mean thay'd get between 7-10 million for them either, but as they'd be straight swaps position for position like, celtic wouldnt be looking for specialist players and i reckon that could save us a few million.

i take your point about Insua, either way i reckon if we did get Izaguirre, and had Johnson to play both there and RB, also young Robinson and Agger to fill in when needed, that we could bet rid of both Insua and Konchesky

Sorry didnt mean for that to sound the way it read, what I mean is Konchesky and Poulson aint that good and I would be surpised if we could convince any team to take both age/wages. If we could get rid of both get 2 young hungry players in to replace, it would be great. From what I heard of a few celtic fan mates Izaguirre is excellent going forward. I think if Kenny keeps the team workin as hard as they are pressing from the front with 2 holding mids Izaguirre could be a runner. After yesterday I think young flannagan could even do a job at left back if we were really stuck.

How have we gone from having no full backs to being one short of having 3 in each position, Kenny just makes it look so easy.

it is poor mate but they are stand out in a poor league, jenny is shrewd so if he thinks they're a go, then thats that

I know what you mean man PK and CP are poor but they'll be good in SPL as its much slower and weaker football

Both really good players, Izaguirre would be a brilliant signing supposed be alot of big clubs after him. We need a new left back and I would be over the moon with Izaguirre

How many players that have been 'stand out' in the SPL have been the same when they transferred to the Premiership? Not many I can think of, Barry Ferguson ran the show up there for years and then couldn't cut it with Blackburn and is hardly setting the league alight with Brum. Same with Kenny Miller. It is like standing out playing against league one teams week in week out to going and playing against top premiership opposition each week. Rarely works.

I think we need to be aiming way higher than this with our summer recruits. Just my opinion not a pop at the OP.

Do you think Neil Lennon is blind that he would sell two of the best players he has and take the two wasters you are offering:( Would you take that deal.

Even £7million total would be far too much for 2 players who are playing at a standard that equates with the League of Ireland.
No one rates stand out players in Scotland anymore. If they did do you think McGeady would be playing in Russia?

The LB is sorted already , it's either Baines or Enrique whoever folds first.

David Moyes was at the game yesterday could have been there to watch Izaguirre because he's resigned himself to losing Baines but thats just speculation.Anyone know the reason why Moyes was there?

Sat down & watched the Celtic game this evening kept an eye on Izagurrie in particular.
Have to say have only really seen highlights of the chap before so this was the 1st time I had a good look not really impressed did'nt stand out at all tbh but need to see more obviously.Went missing for the 3rd goal against Celtic & did'nt show enough going foward but very little of the Celtic team did However he did get an assist with Commons 1st goal.
