Last night Kaka was crowned FIFA World Player of the year ahead of Leo Messi in second and the winker in 3rd. He had double the votes of Messi. Well deserved, congrats Kaka you legend!!
Was between Messi and Kaka for me, iv have given it to messi but kaka won CL so i guess thats why he got the edge
Messi deserved it, these awards are a joke, cannavaro got it last year for 3 good games in the world cup while Henry was outstanding that whole year,milan are 10th in ther league. Kaka has'nt done a thing all season,Messi has been outstanding for Barca all year and is top scorer in La Liga. In 1988 John Barnes was the best player in Europe winning both english player of the year awards but wasn't in the top 3.In 1984 Ian Rush won the European Golden Boot but was'nt in the top 3.
personally i think stevie g is not because i support liverpool but how many years has he been consistant ??? since he start playing pretty much , thats 10 years , has so much infuence on the team kaka is some tallent but hasnt done it consistant like gerrard , granted hes excellent past 2 or 3 years but see if he lasts 10 years , ronaldinho / ronaldo were excellent for few years and now burn outs , ronaldos fucked , i dont think ronaldinho will get back to as good as he was , were as stevie g has always been the heart
Kaka has been brilliant going back to 2002/2003. Gerrard is a good player as we all know but he goes around on the pitch like a headless chicken at times, last sunday was a example of that.

Just cause he is Brazilian come off it man. He got double the votes of Messi and even add Ronaldo's total they didn't even reach him. If over a 1000+ plus football managers can recognise his contribution this year so can we. He won AC Milan the Champions League, Top Scorer and Top Assist in last seasons competition says it all. Topped of by winning the World Club Championship where he again scored and setup a goal. He is just pure class.
yeah well i didnt take into account top scorer or assists so i suppose when u put them together it does make an excellent case for the award its just i never took to him i suppose ( jealousy perhaps )
Imagine if you had him and Torres in the same team with Gerrard on the right, Alonso and Masche in the centre and Babel on the left
I haven't seen enough of Babel to get excited yet. One or two moments. As for Kaka, he's genius. Pure and simple. I did however think it would have been closer between he and Messi. If I had a choice I'd watch Messi first.
