RTÉ Sport's Premier Soccer Saturday is to be broadcast in front of a live audience for the first time on 30 April, in association with programme sponsor the Irish S*n. Presenter Darragh Maloney will be joined by former Premier League players and Irish internationals Ray Houghton, Ronnie Whelan and Kenny Cunningham for the show, and audience members will be able to interact with the RTÉ soccer panel for discussion of all the issues. Soccer fans can win tickets for the live audience event by listening to Sport At 7 on RTÉ Radio 1 (until Wednesday, 6 April ), or by checking out the Irish S*n. Premier Soccer Saturday presenter Darragh Maloney said: 'I'm really excited about the live show and there is going to be a really great atmosphere in studio on the night. 'As the presenter I try to ask the panel the questions that I think the viewers at home want to know but this time they'll be the ones actually doing the asking so I think the guys are set for a real grilling.'
im going to send an e-mail to lfctv interactive today to ask them to ask ronnie or ray what there playing at they have been on a few time over the last couple of weeks
Where can i get tickets and ill ask them the question direct to their face, would make priceless viewing

Anyone know anyone inside rte who can get me tickets id fcuking love to make whelan and houghton sh1te themselves on national tv
Both players played at Hillsborough. Both men attended many funerals of the poor unfortunate victims. Does that mean nothing to them? Any little respect I might have had for them will be gone.
Maybe the best way to go about this would be if this site made offical contact with the players to express fans annoyance about this, I'm sure Pam or Paul might have contact details, an email or phone call to the players saying the biggest gathering of Irish reds isn't happy might make them think twice, I'm not saying they don't know but do they know who's sponsoring this show? That question needs to be asked before a follow up expression of disgust from us the fans. If they say yes then fcuk them there fair game. If they say no and pull out then I'd respect them, if they say no and then still go ahead with it then again there fair game. What's the Irish branch of SOS opinion on the best action to follow?
Spot on Richie , would the SOS Irish branch committee be interested in taking this issue up???? I could easily see myself going vigilante on this but what Richie said is a much more sensible course of action
Maybe everyone on here should make a point of boycotting any legends nights, events etc that whelan or houghton are involved in. I've never actually been to anything with houghton but I've been to a couple of nights where whelan was involved. Even if anyone knows people who organize these kind of things, they could be made aware that a sizable portion of Liverpool fans wouldnt be willing to attend an event these lads were part of. It would make them think twice about booking them and as such we'd be taking money out of their pockets.
Good post Richie. This is in discussion at the moment. If anyone has contact details for either please feel free to pm me.
There is a user called aldomolbyrushy who posted on here once about legend nights - however he represents those three in the user name. I'm not sure if Whelan/Houghton have an official agent for this sort of thing? I think if there is to be contact from the SOS Ireland Branch it will be approached in a cordial manner, attempting direct communication with both, similar to Richie's post above.
Ger (Captain Morgan) and myself have been sending out a few tweets to people we follow who follow LFC
Each to there own but I think approaching people on twitter to comment before asking the players concerned is the wrong way to go about it, like I said an offical approach by this site or Irish branch of SOS is the way to go.
