Former Liverpool & England striker Robbie Fowler will arrive at Gigg Lane on Monday and will spend the week assisting Caretaker manager Richie Barker in the day to day coaching of the first team squad.

He will join Richie Barker in the dugout for Tuesday nights game with Burton Albion. At the moment, it is unclear if he will still be available to take up a similar role for the Barnet game on Saturday due to prior commitments.

During his week with the Shakers, all the clubs strikers will spend time with Robbie sharpening their shooting boots for the final six games.

The club are very grateful to Robbie for offering his help towards the club, and we hope that some of his talent rubs off on the players for the last month of the season.

Would love to see him involved in some form of coaching with us in the future as he's a top man.

I thought he was working with Karl Robinson at the MK Dons.
