Gonna be a tough one against a team who slaughtered Sunderland on the weekend. Missing a whole bunch of players for this, don't have high hopes for a win, but stranger things have happened. If we're to do it, it'll be a scruffy 1-0. But Ill take that now!
if we adhere to our usual form in the past decade or so we follow a dire performance agaisnt a crap team with a victory over a 'big' team...cant see anything but a liverpool victory. 2-0 i think
Spot on with our form the way it has been this season, im hoping we put in a sterling performance and win by 1 or 2.
If as expected Stevie is out for this one I think we'll struggle, especially as it looks like we'll have a patched up defence aswell. Not overly concerned about our results from now till end of season as long as Suarez, Carroll and hopefully Shelvey get alot of game time before May.
I'm bring my boys to there 1st ever game in Anfield.... They have to win... I'm thinking 3-1 with Carroll and Lucas... Oh dear God I hope I'm right!! Please........................
has a 0-0 written all over it city will come defenceive and where missing a few players hopefully we get a bit of magic from luis
heading over to this, looking forward to it, havent lost a game yet since i started going to anfield 2 seasons ago, been to some big games like arsenal, mancs twice and the derby, lets hope the unbeaten streak keeps up. if it does, i may just buy a season ticket haha
In the games Man City haven't won over the past 3 months against Villa, Notts Co., Birmingham, Man U, Aris Solonika, Fulham, Dynamo Kiev and Chelsea they always came up against a side playing 4-4-2.
Remember what happened the last time we played 4-4-2 against City? We got hammered,. Silly formation to play against an experienced Italian manager,. we dont have the players to utilise it like Man Utd, Villa, Chelsea, Kiev .You need pace and width, or pack the midfield,. Id either go wing backs, but we cant because of injuries,. So i'd go 4-5-1 Carroll up top, Lucas, Raul in the Centre with Luis in behind, then Maxi and Kuyt on the wings.
Would take a scrappy 1-0 win or based on last Saturday's result a draw. They certainly won't be pushovers but let's not forget their ability to fail to show up at times.
The side you'd put out is effectively a 4-4-2, certainly wouldn't call it a 4-5-1. Playing that formation back in August was foolish (didn't have much choice with Mascherano effectively going on strike) but I reckon it would be a different story at home on Monday night.
