Has anyone noticed the high number of gardai patrolling the streets??
All along the navan road and in ashington etc , blanch ive noticed guards walking along the streets...
i thought there was shortage in gardai but these guys are young enough and look like they just came out of the reserves...

Me thinks there is also overtime a plenty from late November each year ....

lets face it, the Government needs to spend more money putting the Gardai out protecting the yellow box junctions (apparently, not one has been stolen since the overtime was signed off ... although sadly, murder, rape, drug related crimes etc are all on the increase  )

    Fantastic !!!!!!!!

    - don't you just love crime prevention at this high level mate ;)

The bottom line with the bus lanes is simple:

    - we don't have enough buses in them to justify their existance in many of the current locations

    - there ain't no sign of massive number of new busses on order, to justify keeping half of them

    - road space is in very limited supply with Dublin city and probably every other city in the country, it's a limited resource & with more & more cars on the roads these days, bus lanes are waisted resource !

... so simply put: Either get a load more busses into the bus lanes, to provide the public service, or give us back our bloomin' roads !
