What a legend, bring him home Kenny, please!! Xabi Alonso has revealed his intention to bring his son up as a die-hard Liverpool supporter. The Spaniard may have swapped Merseyside for Madrid but he remains a big fan of his old club, insisting that his passion for all-things LFC will never fade. "I am still a Liverpool fan and will be forever, absolutely," Alonso told The Times Online. "The things that I have lived and the experiences I had during those five years are deep in my heart and the passion and respect I had for the club and its supporters are still the same. "Hopefully I can transmit to my son what Liverpool Football Club means and how special it is, as he was born in the city and he will visit it in the future." Much has changed since Alonso patrolled the Liverpool midfield with so much distinction. The Reds have switched manager twice and are now embarking upon a new era with FSG. Under the leadership of Kenny Dalglish they have shown a marked improvement in form and Alonso is confident they are now on the up. He said: "I think they have regained their confidence and despite being knocked out of the Europa League (by Braga) their form in the Premier League has improved a lot. "I think they can rebuild a competitive team, especially as it looks like there is now stability at the club again. Now they have to think about the sport side and create a plan for the following years."
Would do anything to see him back, id say he would consider it aswell if the circumstances were right.
this guy just ooz's with class everything he has said about us since he left has been fantastic pure class this lad a few of our ex players should take a leaf out of his book id love to see him back would be a massive step forward for the club to bring him back
i really would do any thing to have him back with us. please king kenny do what you can, break the bank
wonder how much we would have to pay to get him back?....i reckon if real win a la liga title, if we were to go back and get him we would probably find it easier if they win a title
Well that ain't gonna happen this year so that'll be at least another year, can't see NESV shelling out for a player of that age. Pipe dream anyway. His time with us is gone Breaks my heart every time I see him play. Ran the show again tonight.
it's fair to say when he left it was like we lost 5 players at the same time, there is no player like him in the world, amazing passing and vision.
