How can upc continue to say they have all that sky can offer when they have just lost itv2,3 and 4 now and there is no way they will get Sky athlantic. I think its time to move back to Sky.
To be honest they are both brutal...Since the old Dodgy box packed in i have been watching sport online or downloading any tv series i want...Eh..I mean i have a friend who does this...I would never condone illegal downloading...
gutted!!!!, no more The only way is essex....such an intelligent, thought provoking and informative show.......
Bad form by upc to not even announce it,apparently its something to do with an exclusivity deal that tv3 have with itv for showing their programmes on their platform. By rights upc shouldn't even have utv but their argument is that its not an itv channel but really it is. That €70 satellite system I installed last year was a masterstroke, still have itv 2,3 and 4 and will still be able to watch celebrity juice every Thursday.fcukin love that prog. As soon as saorsat comes out I'll be ditching upc anyway and I can see loads of others doing the same.
i saw this yesterday and thought it was a joke. Im not in dublin this week but i loved those channels, very handy for boxing and uefa cup games. I would join sky but im in an apartment and cant get a dish
UPC are a horrible shower to deal with anyway. And dont even get me started on their billing system. Twice I got reminders that my bill was overdue before the fcukin bill had even arrived, penalties for late payment after fcuk-all time, and ya ring up with a technical fault ya might as well be talking to the wall. I switched to direct debit payment and they then sent me a text-message saying that they were about to cut me off due to non-payment and a reconnection fee would apply. So I rang them up and reminded them its paid by direct debit. She said they ust have taken the number down wrong and insisted I paid by credit-card to avoid disconnection. Then the exact same fookin thing happened again the next time. Shower of incompetetent jack-asses
I have to say I dont have any major probs with them, never have a problem getting through to them. When my internet was messed up for a few days, I asked for credit on my bill, I got it. Got credit for something else as well, cant remember. The real test will be when I ring them in May to take out the sports package. If they reduce the package by half price for the summer Ill keep it, if not its coming out
Have you considered the shared option. All you need is interest from 3 apartments and Sky will install it for free.Of course the management company will have to be involved but that shouldn't be a problem.I went down that route myself.
They won't offer you a deal on the sports mate. Not worth having once the play-offs are finished anyways. They will charge you a tenner to downgrade your package though. I rang yesterday to cancel. I'm only on the basic package anyway. Cost me €23 a month. She offered it to me for €14 said I'd ring back on monday with my answer. The only reason I'm was cancelling was cos of celeb juice. I love that programme but not worth the money I'd have to pay for sky. €27 a month which is a great price but €40 to install it cos I've no phone line.
Im aware of the tenner downgrade alright, you dont think they will reduce it? Im only worried about SSN, isnt that now inc in the sports packages now? Thats the only thing I would miss when the transfers are going on. UPC offeres to reduce to 14euros is it?
