Roy Hodgson will be up against us for the first time since leaving. We should be adding to his woes as we continue to hunt for the highest possible finish.I fancy us to beat them if we continue to stay responsible at the back.
he is still unbeaten with them got a good draw against arsenal last week in saying that saurez will rip them apart and they wont match andy in the air at least 3-0 to us
Good to see positive Glen back! He was the first one to see through To**es, yet we all abused him at the time. He nearly got banned for it! Hats off to ya Glen
cheers for that mate thanks in saying that i did go to far with some comments but i was bang on with him but since the king has come back is positive all the way for me a big summer coming up and where gonna go close next season to winning it
Looking forward to this, it should be ours for the taking. Hopefully our two new boys will continue to improve with more matches under their belt
Not taken anything for granted this will be a difficult away game imo with West Brom unbeaten in their last 5 home games but 4 draws... depending on who he we have fit. Imo Kuyt's back in form and should start.. Kelly ? Think he maybe out for the season ? Gerrard ? Agger ? Suarez? Reina Cara .....Agger .....Skrtel ......Glen Lucas ......Gerrard ...........Meireles Kuyt ........Carroll ...............Suarez
Yeah. He said himself that he was gonna miss uruguays two matches, but that he would be back for the next Liverpool match. He put that up on his twitter page before swiftly taking it down again. Probably because the Uruguay camp wouldnt be too thrilled to hear that
Any one know if this will be on in the Submarine in crumlin on saturday as ill be up there, seeing the woman for the weekend.
From Talksport/RTE, Stevie declaring himself fit for sat'dee. Gerrard eyes return against Baggies Wednesday, 30 March 2011 11:00 Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard hopes to be fit to return against West Brom this weekend and lead the club's push for European qualification. The 30-year-old midfielder has missed three matches, although only one in the Barclays Premier League, after undergoing surgery on a groin problem on 10 March. However, he is optimistic of being available to face former Reds boss Roy Hodgson at the Hawthorns on Saturday, the first of the remaining eight games they have to catch fifth-placed Tottenham and qualify for the Europa League. 'I'm hoping to be in full training on Thursday and available for selection for the weekend,' said the England international. 'It's up to Kenny (Dalglish) whether he thinks I'm ready or not. I'm really looking forward to getting back.' Liverpool are four points behind Spurs, who have a match in hand, but Gerrard believes they still have a chance of "sneaking" back into Europe having been knocked out of the Europa League by Braga earlier this month. And the likelihood of having January signings Andy Carroll - scorer of England's goal in last night's 1-1 friendly draw against Ghana - and Luis Suarez both fit for the run-in increases the optimism of the Reds captain. 'Our league form since Kenny came in is the best in the league so it's really positive,' Gerrard told talkSPORT. 'He is a player's manager. Players like playing for him because he talks to them, he's honest with them. 'We're hoping Kenny can bring the glory days back. We know there's a lot of hard work to do yet but there has been an improvement. 'We're just going to try to win the rest of our games and try to finish as high as we can. The aim for us is to try and sneak back into Europe come the end of the season. 'We believe now that we've got the most feared strikeforce in the league. One thing that's important to remember with Andy is that he's superb on the floor. 'If we are in a difficult game or we are chasing a game we can be more direct but the good thing is because we can mix it up, we can play either way now. 'We can play in behind, we can play long, and with Suarez running off him. It gives us a whole new dimension.'
I think we can catch Spurs with their champions league two leg tie coming up and they still have to come to Anfield (we can also take a few points off Man City, let's not give up until it's mathematically impossible). We are the form team, think Andy will score in this one and Kuyt seems to be back on form. If Suarez is back as well, I wouldn't rush Gerrard back too soon unless absolutely necessary, would like to see him get 25 mins at the end. 0-2 Carroll and Kuyt
