PS3 just died

    Powers off after a couple of seconds. Green then yellow then flashing red light.

    Ever happen to anyone? Looks fcuked.

    Theres a fix on youtube but its complicated. You more or less have to strip it down to the bare bones.

    Same happened to me brought it back to gamestop and got a brand new one 80gig(i had 40gig) but it cost 160 if that helps, if its anything to do with a power supply i have a spare one bought it online but didnt work for mine

    Not bad. Mine went a few weeks after the warranty was up:rolleyes:
    Ended up doing the same as Podgecheco at Xtra-vision.

    Take off the plug. Stick the auld wires into Monty's ears. You should notice a slight flicker after a few seconds.

    Won't do anything for the 'pooter though

    Same thing happened to me with my last ps3.It was the bigger console.I tried a diy job to fix it but it was goosed and when I opened it gamestop or xtravision wouldn't take it back because it voids the warranty :(

    €180 a bit steep IMO

    No i dont think so i rang playstation and they told me what i had to do. I doubt youl need a receipt because the warranty is out

    Mine and my mates have broken too in the last year. The 3.12 update last year broke mine. Actually, it broke thousands of consoles. The ****s clearly do not make them to last.
