If you think there are dickheads at Oxegen, do a google search for T in the Park stabbings! Must have been at least 2 or 3 people killed(murdered) there over the years! I thinkit was last year there was a stabbing that led to a death on one of the main paths from the campsite to the arena.

Cheers for the heads up, never heard of that Paddser but suppose you can expect scumbags at all these festivals, once you don't act the boll0x going looking for trouble you should be ok, same as anywhere, you could unlucky though but that could happen any night of the week.

I've been oxegen most of the last few years and just fancy a change, the crowd seems to be getting younger and younger every year or maybe I'm just getting ould

I said I better check my facts out before(well after really :D) spouting shite. It seems it wasnt as bad as i thought. I think the death was drug related, and the other was attempted murder. All last year mind. Scots can be a bit mad when under the influence. I wouldn't go around waving a tricolour myself, but in general it would be great just like all festivals:

    http://www.virtualfestivals.com/latest/news/8098/-/T-in-the-Park-Attempted-Murder-Three-Arrested-

Scottish Police have confirmed the arrest of 3 youths following stabbings at T in the Park Festival on Sunday evening (11 July), reports the Guardian.
The two injured men, who are in their twenties, are currently in serious but stable conditions with abdominal injuries in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

Officers are treating the incident, which took place at the festival campsite, as attempted murder and are also investigating the sexual assault of a woman on Saturday night.

This compounds a harrowing weekend at T in the Park following the death of a twenty-four year old festivalgoer on the opening evening.

The three day festival which featured Muse, Eminem and Kasabian as headliners saw a total of sixty-four people arrested.

T In The Park Festival 2010 took place at Balado, Kinross, in Scotland over the weekend of 9 - 11 July.

If mainstream music isn't the "be all and end all"(is that how you write that saying ), get yourself to the Picnic. Have been the last 2 years, along with all 7 Oxegens, and it's absolutely different class from start to finish.

Ah yeah electric picnic is a must hit this summer, been away the last few years for it so have never been myself but hear nothing but good reports. I was watching some highlights of last years fetival a while ago on TG a ceathar of all places and it looked the sh1t if you fancy something edgy.

I'd recomment Creamfields in Daresbury by Liverpool/Chester for a more dancey festival if thats your bag. You will be walking round with your jaw on the floor all weekend especially if the suns out, nothing to do with the drugs either.
