Well guys the year 2008 is nearly upon us and its about this time that songs and albums of the lists start popping up. So share your musical highlights of this past year and name yor songs of the year.
Mine are in no particular order.
The Klaxons : Golden Skans..
a breath of fresh air to the music scene this year
The National : Fake Empire..
from my album of the year infectious song.
The Gossip : Standing in the way of control.
The colourful lead singer was one of the highlights of oxygen.
Bloc Party : The prayer Great first single taken from the second album
Arctic Monkeys : Fluorescent Adolescent . as above:)
Kings of Leon : Fans. These guys get better and better, if you haven't got the new album yet put it on the crimbo list.
Modest Mouse : Missed the Boat Off another contender for album of the year could have picked about 5 tunes from it
The View : Wasted little DJ's A great single with a chorus you just can't make out.
Arcade Fire : Keep the car running Nutters live about 8 of them on stage goin mental. solid single
Cathy Davy : Ruben . What an introduction to the music scene for me something different!!Def one to watch, she is gonna be big
The Editors : Smokers outside hospital doors. just great
Interpol : The Heinrich Maneuver. you either think they are boring or like me think tey are Brill.
I know I've forgotten loads , Overall a pretty good year in music. Feel free to slag my choices and add your own:)
