Hard to please me apparantly, quite like that. Fairly rubbish construction of questions as you can oppose things for difference reasons. Much prefer the older one, I was a Lib-Dem nearly spot on though, oops.
Yeah, while it is an interesting tool to quickly see which parties policies you agree with most, it's not exactly something I'd base my vote on. There is more to parties than policies. I may have scored +12 with the Greens but it doesn't mean I'd ever let them near government again. It's also interesting to see on the front page the overall stats. Labour are WAAAAY out ahead of the rest on 36k. FG, Greens and SF are around the 10k - 20k mark and FF are -23k. Makes you think who wrote the script for tallying the scores. Who sets the "Strongly Agree - Agree - .... - Strongly Disagree" choices for each party (against which your choices are compared). Take for example "Low paid workers should be protected from pay cuts." They have FF as "strongly disagree" for that one. I can't imagine that is true or at the very least that they "strongly" disagree with it. I'm not sticking up for FF, but these kind of tests can be skewed and that should be kept in mind.
I got Sinn Fein and Labour, which is the way im voting anyway, so that worked out well. FF scored -11 on mine,
FF -10 FG -1 Lab +10 Sf +8 Mad. I thought I was pro FG. I agree with all their polices to some extent excep health care. Im surpirsed Im so pro labour and sinn fein, since I have been running themdown here. Just proves I know nothing.
I'm amazed by the result from this, I must admit ... Greens +12 FG +6 FF +1 Lab -1 SF -7 I'm not particular Green and if anything, find myself giving out about them half the time. I didn't know who I was going to vote for before I took this test, though had a few ideas, now I'm complete confussed again !!!
