Thats a great read. His philosophy on how football should be played is fantastic, I suppose credit has to go to the youth development at Barcelona an ajax for that. One of the best players Ive ever seen and a nice mention for Liverpool fans too

Have to say the Barca performance against Madrid was one of the best I have ever seen. They prove you don't need massive physical players to have success. You look at some of the teams in the Premier League and they are more athletes than footballers.

    Only read this now.

Great interview. One of the greatest footballers of his generation.

Really looking foward to the game at emirates tonight. Cant see anything but a good result for Barca.

He's a purist and I admire that but there's a fine line beyween that and snobbery. I have no qualms with teams playing pragmatic football. It's about results.

There’s something greater than the result, more lasting. A legacy. Inter won the Champions League but no one talks about them.

This seems somewhat arrogant to me (as well as not being true). I doubt Cesar, Lucio, Sneijder, Milito etc worry too much about their legacy when looking at their winners medal.

brazil have won plenty of world cups but almost anyone you talk about them will mention the team from 1970's world cup because they are regarded as one of the best ever...i think thats what he means by it...i dont think its arrogance from him meself
