    Has won a World cup, European Championship, won player of the year twice for his country but has never won a domnestic honour in his career?

    Won the Segunda league in Spain with Athletico and never got Spanish player of the year AFAIK.

    I remember him from my youth. Who did he play his club football with? Why did he never move to a big German club? A German Le Tiss!?

    Great question...would not have got it.

    He played for Cologne, Juve, Roma, Dortmund...amazing he never won anything with them.

    Think he was with 1860 Munchen as well possibly for a bit, that's where I remember him from.

    He has some amount of club runner up medals and got 3rd in world player of the year in 1992.
