Hi guys. Iwas hoping to get some advice on games for the PS3 and feed back on some games I got. So far (having had the console since its release I have to say Ive not been very impressed and regret trading in the xbox 360 for it. I wonder what others feel.

    1. Virtua Tennis. I enjoyed it in short spells. Amazing graphics. I think it would be worth getting second hand, rather than new though. (6.5/10)

    2. FIFA 2008. Ok, graphically superb, but still suffers from previous failings, games can be arcadey, midfield stalemate and sometimes controls are a wee bit random. Still a huge improvement on previous showings. (7.5/10)

    3. Proevo 2008. What the hell has happened to the best football game. Its very poor, jerky, crap replays, a rubbish blue default ball. I was very dissapointed with it. Konami have failed big time to meet the next gen market, they better get the finger out for next year. Something tells me they gave up on this game too soon. (7/10)

    4. Virtua Fighter. Good fun, but I traded it in cos I was rubbish at it. Graphically amazing, but I thought it was a "punch every button game". (6.5/10)

    5. God father. Awful. Love the movies (all time favourites) but the game is an insult. (3/10).

    6. Elder Scrolls Oblivion. I must be honest, I still have not given this much of a chance, but I will. What do other people think and have you any tips?

    7. EA fight night. Good fun, but a bit of a random button pushing expedition. Good if you have a few beers with mates though (7/10)

    8. Madden NFL 2008. Only just got this, but as someone who hasnt much of a clue about american football, I gotta say I loved this. Great fun. Ill see if it stands the test of time though. (7.5/10)

    9. Call of duty 4. Just got this, so have not had much time on it. Looks very next gen though. Anyone else had a go on this.

Id be very interested in hearing what people though of Assasins creed, Motorstorm, Smackdown vs Raw and any other games. Maybe we can stop each other buying dissapointing games.

I have both the PS3 and 360 and prefer the 360 by a mile. Apart from having more games they are also far better there is still nothing on the PS3 near Gears of War yet which is an old 360 title at this stage.

Apparently when they launched the PS3 Sony announced that the next gen gaming officially began that day despite them having no games and still bearly any.

Apparently PS3 is being hampered by the Hi Definition Video battle between Blu Ray and HD DVD and all the money is being spent on this rather than developing games.

If you have to pick over Christmas get the 360 as its got XBox Live for the online gaming.

AOL. Hand on heart no other company offers it - Orange,BT, Virgin Media or Sky don't offer that with there Wireless packages. You have a choice of either the laptop or PS3. The Carphone Warehouse own AOL now you will probably know.

Never had an Xbox so can't compare the two. Pretty disappointed with the PS3 so far to be honest, but I remember reading that the games that were first released for the Xbox were riddled with bugs. I assume the same is now happening with the PS3 so I presuming (and hoping) that some quality stuff will start coming out in the new year.

Hi, thats exactly how I felt too. I had a PS2 and loved it. Then I bought an Xbox 360 and though I liked it, I was always more inclinded towards the playstation. I though t
for example Pro evo was always better on the PS2 than the 360. But I traded in the xbox for the ps3 and Im not happy so far. Maybe patience is the key, but still

    Hi,
I am seriously considering buying a xbox going by what you guys are saying above about the ps3,which would be my first intention to buy because i have the ps2 but xbox seems to be much better...
Which one would be the best to buy??
    The Premium(20gb)is 20 gigs enough?
    The arcade(256kb)doesnt sound great
Or the Elite(120gb)alot of memory, prob wudnt use it all though and it is much more expensive...
    Which one?
    Tanx,sorry about sorta changing subject...

I have the premium and it does me grand. Wouldnt get the arcade.

If you play a ton of games and intend downloading extra levels etc through XBox Live then the Elite is absolutely the way to go.

Steer clear of the PS3 for at least another year and see how it develops. One of Sonys biggest Franchises has been Grand Theft Auto and thats on both formats now.

Theres not one exclusive game on the PS3 that I feel is a must have but plenty on the 360 and the graphics etc are identical between the two machines.

I thought Assassins Creed was fantastic when i first played but as time goes on it gets very samey.

As for the ending, isn't great.

    Hitman: Blood Money is good.

    Go for The Orange Box......fantastic

I've an Elite, traded in Premium and if you are into using the video marketplace, have a HD tv.....its the one to get. The HDMI cable is included.
