    Rumors that the Tribune is gone.Into recievership now.Hope they make it through,really enjoy that paper.Excellent sports and political writers.

    When I worked with the Indo, we did a bit of work for the Tribune about 6 months ago. The Indo bosses told us that the change to Compact was a final throw of the dice. Pity it didn't work out. Newspapers are dying a death

    Sorry to hear about this..get the Trib a odd Sunday...nothing like reading the papers on a Sunday...

    2 Waterstones book stores in Dublin are closing on Sun. 46 jobs gone.

    The loss of both the Waterstones stores and the anticipated loss of the Sunday Tribune amounts to almost another 100 jobs lost ... suffice to say it's yet another very sad day for Ireland.

    I hope the people effected get jobs elsewhere soon.

    Same thing happened to Irish Press. Went to tabloid format and sales plummetted.
    Some good journalists in trib but the whole tabloid format turned me off it completely.
