I think this years transfer market has gone utterly mad with the likes of big spending clubs like City.Suarez should realistically be valued at about 18 to 20 million tops and Adam at around 5 to 7 million.I'm getting a little annoyed at the likes of Blackpool sticking a 14 million price tag on Adam when they clearly know they will not even get close to that figure for him even from the likes of the super rich clubs. As for Ajax, well they are just playing games at this stage.I think we should offer 19 million for him or else walk away and 5.5 for Adam if no interest stirs after that just go on the hunt again. What say you all ?, comments please !!!
you cant blame blackpool for putting that pricetag on their best player to be fair although he wants to leave and his contract is up next year so id say they will let him go for 6-7 mill which is about right to be fair without lucas tonight we didnt look too healthy in midfield adams would have slotted in their nicely tonight and as fof suarez id value him around the 20mill mark and i hope we get him
I totally agree!! The transfer market value of players in this window is inflated but you have to look at the type of players we are aiming to sign. Charlie Adam is the difference between Blackpool continuing to do well and struggling to stay in the league. The value of a club maintaining Premier League survival is worth so much that they WILL over-value their main players to keep them to stay in the league. Blackpool do not need to sell Adam but will accept a higher bid and bring other players in. Luis Suarez is another issue. Ajax are saying Liverpool are offering this and that while we say nothing. He is worth between £15-£20 max. He is a good player who would fit the teams style of play but if Ajax keep treating Liverpool this way we should just forget it. Ajax need to remember they are no super-power and their best players will want to leave, stop being bitter and let him go.. The Dutch league is nowhere near good enough to value a player so highly. The whole market value is inflated for those who will pay what seems like ransom money. Lets see what the next 5-6 days brings...
The transfer market 's been f*cked up for several years; it's not a new thing. The Chavs and Rael have been paying stupid money for players for several years now. Recently, Cit€h has joined the dance, with Villa happily following them. Clubs know that English (top) teams are ready and willing to pay high sums for top players. We have 2 options: we play ball and pay ridiculous money, or we don't and watch top players move to our competitors.
So what do we do as a club? Everyone seems to be saying fcuk ajax and no to being held to ransom,. Yet if we do that then we risk not gettin top players and losing out to our competitors, so would people rather us pay top dollar or fall by the wayside? Also this is the last real opportunity to spend big before uefas financial fair play rules come into force. Over the years we have fallen so far behind, we now have a chance to bridge the gap a kittle before everyone us in an even playing field of sorts. Man city are clever stockpiling players with their limitless funds while they can, they can then sell them off once the rules come into force and boost their spending power, talk about financial doping,.
Drives me up the bleedin wall tbh. The whole of sport has been taken over ( long time now tho ) by the corporate durt bags . Have thought once or twice re just sticking to LOI for me footie mate- just that its the "pool is me team and I cant walk away . When I think of what the working classes earn and then see these telephone numbers re transfare fees ??? madness ,,sheer madness .
