    I wish.
He's a very talented player but he rarely has any consistency, sometimes due to injury + sometimes due to form.
I can't see that changing while he's with us. He's another player that will tease fans by showing brief moments of magic but never fulfill expectations.

Still hopeful that he'll come good for us, but I can't help thinking every time I see him, that we managed to resign a ponytail-less Harry Kewell.

Really seems to have gone Pete Tong for him. Don't think he's played at all under kenny yet?

Cut our losses on this chap. Not good enough, not fit enough and too expensive to keep on the bench, West Ham will hopefully make a silly offer, 3-4m would do it I'd say.

Seriously man hes been here 6 months. Out of those 6 months hes been suspended, Injured or not been given the freedom to express what he can do under a regimental linear manager. Give kenny a month to work with him and ill guarantee he will be in that team. Hes a fine player on his day. Its not like we paid a fortune for him!

Name me 1 player who has gone on to preform consistently after been injured for 3 years? It never happens, let some other dream of having a fit Joe Cole.

I'd a feeling you wouldn't answer the question. It was like having Ryan Babel in reserve and hoping he'll come good eventually, he didn't and he won't. Same thing with Cole, 2 years from now we'll be saying he's been unlucky, never given a chance etc. I think we could have a Robbie Keane type scenario here, we realize we made a fcuk up and luckily we have a former club in a desperate situation who hopefully will make a rash decision.

I didnt answer the question because I couldnt answer the question. I dont have insight into whether hes going to stay injury free for the next 2-3 years.

From what ive seen of him (which is limited) he looks unfit. It wouldnt suprise me if kenny has called him aside and told him to sort that part out and that will help with the injuries. Its a completely different situation to babel who undoubtably had potential but had the mentality of a sloth. Keane got a raw deal because of the formation that we used under rafa. Cole can slot into that position behind torres, or play left or right of a 3 prong attack. If he doesnt improve his fitness then fine, offload him, but I dont think he'd go to a West Ham team in the middle of a relegation battle with a strong chance of going down. And I dont think anyone will pay money for him AND match his wages which leads me to think he'll stay. And for that I say give him a chance.

Nobody has insight into the next 3 or 4 years but what we do have is proof from the past. Dyer, Woodgate and Hargreaves must take home £250,000 between them every week. Gambling on players suddenly overcoming long standing injuries is for idiots. All this Joe Cole choose us over Arsenal is bollox, not in a million years would Wenger buy a player with an injury record like Joe Cole's, only Purslow was stupid enough to pay him silly money.

I am right in saying Harry refused plenty of interest in him recently

Cole had plenty of suitors in the summer. ill finish by saying ill reserve further judgement until I see him in a run of games which im sure he will get.

If hes sold ill take my hat off to your superior judgement;)

Tricky one lads. I wouldn't cut our losses yet. I'd give him till the end of the season to prove he's worth a place in the team and he can stay injury free. If he can't do both of those things between now and then then I think we can get our money back on him(wages). I think a match fit Joe Cole could have been useful tonight. He definitely needs to get his finger out sharpish though.
