Big Slip up on betting on this Boylesports Louth 12/5 Draw 15/2 UCD 2/5 Paddy Power louth 2/5 Draw 15/2 Ucd 9/4
They probably but it down as a mistake if they didn't you could back these. 500 on Louth (Boyle) returns 1700 500 on UCD (Paddy) Return 1625 200 on draw (any) returns 1700 1200 spend
The will probably let you do it then when you collect you will get the correct odds. Happened me before, the prices on the board for a Tyrone win was 15/2 when the correct should of been 1/2, Stuck 40 on it and when went into collect it the said sorry we might a mistake the price should of been 1/2.
That’s surely illegal is it not? Like in a shop if something has a price tag for €50 on it and you get to the till and it scans through as €70, they’ve no choice but to sell it at the price they’ve advertised it as. Obviously unless you dispute it with them then they will try give you the lower odds. If it was that easy for them to change their minds what’s to stop a bookie saying “oh sorry we made a mistake†every time they have a pay out?
Apparently thats not true the price on the tag is advisory only but as a show of good faith most shops honor it but they don't have to sell it to you for that price if they don't want to. Heard conor pope of the irish times talking about this on the radio.
There is no legislation covering this in Irealnd...guy who works in the section in revenue told me this...
