Anybody know a repair guy in the Limerick area who'll have a look at my laptop today. It goes into startup repair and then says it can't automatically fix the problem. Then it won't load up. All my work files are on it so want to try save as much as possible so don't want to reset it to factory settings. Anyone any advice? It will start in safe mode

If you can start it in safe mode can you load everything you need onto a external hard drive and then you can reset to factory settings. Did this with pc when it would only start in safe mode.

Try go to safe mode and do a system restore to the last save point. Done it last night to get rid of a virus and it rebooted saying no files were affected.

I started it in safe mode and did a system restore but when it restarts it stuck on the loading window that says "Microsoft corporation". Thanks for the help but I reckon it needs to go to the pc doctor :(
