Tim Cahill won't be available for this game so I can't really see them having any real goal threat

Two up top please - Torres and Ngog/Kuyt. Aurelio back in at left full.

Maxi to play also, I still want to see Johnson given a go at right mid - not sure if this is the game for it though.

Kenny will find out alot about some of the players from this game.

We will still manage to concede somehow and struggle to score, hopefully not though!

Going to be a tight one. At least form goes out the window for games like this, well hopefully for us it does :)

    .........................Reina.......................

    Kelly.......................Soto..................Agger..........................Aurelio

    Johnson............Lucas.....................Raul................Maxi

    ..............................Cole/Shelvey.....................

    ............................Torres........................

Would LIKE to see this team, dont think theres any chance though
Kuyt and Skrtel have been woefully underperforming this season and Dirk especially needs to be taken out of the firing line. His touch and passing are scandalous and moves are constantly breaking down in his possession. We were so lacking in pace last night, I thought it was my stream that was slow, but no we are actually as slow as people in RTE are to say "yeah Gerry loved drugs".
Bewildered by the team selection last night and if I could drop both Lucas and Raul for it I would

If the everton players have watched our last 2 games I'd expect them to get stuck into merieles early on. Haven't got a clue which way this game is going to go but what a kick in the balls it would be if everton completed the double over us in the same week as Blackpool. Time for everyone to a man to stand and be counted.

Nervous about this now. A win could really turn it around for us and get the players believing in themselves. Want to see Johnson on the right too. We badly need pace on the wings and badly need Johnson to be away from our penalty area at the moment

Everton midfielder Tim Cahill has pinpointed Liverpool's lack of spirit as their Achilles heel ahead Sunday's Merseyside derby.

The struggling Reds are just four points above the relegation zone and the return of Anfield legend Kenny Dalglish as manager has done nothing to arrest their slide down the Premier League table.

Dalglish, who has presided over two defeats since succeeding Roy Hodgson, is set to meet owner John W Henry on Friday to discuss January transfer targets but Cahill warned that only fighting spirit can save their season.

"Liverpool are in a bit of bother at the moment. But really we've no concern about what's going on there or any other club," Cahill said.

"In games like this, you have to make sure you give everything - it's down to work ethic and spirit. At Everton, in the worst times, when it's not going your way, that spirit is what saved us."

Australian international Cahill will be forced to watch Sunday's Anfield derby on TV as he is currently in Qatar competing in the Asian Cup.
