Form is out the window in cup games - (e.g.) Leeds won in cup there recently - but saying that cant see anything other than defeat

There home record against our away record are exact opposites

    Reina man of the match

Unfortunately cant see this being anything other than a scum win BUT who knows maybe we may get a performance from this wannabe Liverpool team. Its a real pity that we have to hope for a good performance from this team rather than expect it.

I have more faith in us winning on sunday then I did last night. It's a big game and the players actually seem to wake up and play for the big games.

Maybe if we forget about this it will go away :) We will see which players care and which players don't because every player should be up for manure at old Trafford regardless of what's happening. If there are players who don't show passion Sunday then I wouldn't mind seeing the back of them.Fcuk off if u don't want to play for Liverpool as far as I'm concerned.

Looking forward to the day out. It says something when there is plenty if spares floating about for a trip to Old Trafford, yet Leeds had 14,000 applicants for 9,000 tickets for Arsenal at the Emirates

Thank god this is on ITV and i dont have to go to the Boozer to watch this, as if we lose i can curl into a ball and not hear from any one, where as if i was stuck in a pub i could imagine Mancs rubbing me up the wrong way..

I would be temped to put Glen in for Kuyt and have kelly at right back.
I would also have someone out of the left rather than Maxi, Joe Cole did he not play there for Chelsea?

Wouldn't mind seeing that after yesterday's under-performance by Ingurlands RB.

    Agree 100% with the team.

As regards Johnson he is the subject of a lot of criticism (from myself too at times) but in the cold light of day I think we have one of the best right backs in world football (that may sound hyperbolic but its possibly an undersubscribed position). Defensively he has been abject at times although I think if he wasn’t as strong going forward his defensive frailties wouldn’t be picked on as much. I think he sometimes gets ‘punished’ for that whereas other fullbacks who are decidedly average don’t receive the same criticism.

I also think that if Kelly played exactly like Johnson (and vice versa) people would still want Kelly in the team as there will always be an bias towards young and (especially) local players.

But as for the match itself there is no logical reason to expect a positive result. We can only just hope the players are ‘up for it’ backed up, as they doubtlessly will be, by the always impressive travelling support.

I agree about Johnson. Given that
1 we paid so much for him
2 his wages are so high
3 everyone and his dog can see he is a poor defender
    4 he has good pace
    and
5 he can actually contribute going forward and has a good shot on him
I don't see why he can't be played on the wing, taking away much of the defensive responsiblities which have him completely rattled.
