interesting to see how we get on after bolton hope we get 3 points obviously but cant help but think it would just buy roy more time
Reina Johnson Agger Skrtel Aurelio Lucas Gerrard Kuyt Cole Maxi Torres Would like to see if Cole can build now I'd give him his oppurtunity but if Roy is sticking with 442 then I'd play Kuyt up top, Maxi on the right and Joe on the left! Nothing against Ngog he has being doing quite well just want to see what Joe can do.
Blackburn had a bad defeat saterday but this will still be a tight game i feel. After bolton game you would think we would push on from here but who knows, we have more then enough to beat them but first goal is very important and more so that if we get it we dont just sit back like we did at wigan.
i think Roy should start this game with the team that finished against Bolton, except Agger, agger should start, But Ngog and and Meireles should now have to WIN their place back with good performances
http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/8766271.Blackburn_Rovers_face_injury_crisis/ Robinson, Phil Jones, Chris Samba, Hanley, Grella, Andrews, N'Zonzi, Emerton and Kalinic all probably out.
Lets forget about who is not playing for Blackburn and concentrate on our own team and build on the last result. We are capable of going on a run if we dare to believe we can go to Blackburn and win! Any team who has Reina on form, a solid back four, Gerrard driving us on, Maxi chipping in with goals and Torres of fire has a chance of beating anyone. We need to get some consistency going and there will be no hiding for roy if we fail to put in a performance at least!
Completely agree we are more than capable of beating anybody but my fear is Roy will set us up for a draw! And then we can only hope for another "famous" victory over a mighty Blackburn after all the must be a massive club they have a bid in for ronaldihino
Think we will scrap this one. Blackburn are poor & our away record stinks but one has to go our way sooner or later.Think this will be the game.
we should attack from the start and we should beat these there rubbish but the fact we are away doesnt fill me with confidence
Roy Hodgson admits Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard will have to be managed carefully during what is set to be a hectic January of fixtures. Related Links * Torres Search * Torres Video * Torres Profile Liverpool could be asked to play nine times throughout the month depending on the outcome of our FA Cup third round tie with Manchester United this weekend. Gerrard found himself rested on the bench at the start of our New Year's Day clash with Bolton - and Hodgson claims it may have to happen again. "I think we will have to hope that the fans and supporters understand that," said the 63-year-old. "Fernando had a very serious knee injury, which seems to be in the past, but when you've had an injury there's always the little risk of reoccurrence. "And Steven, of course, is susceptible to muscle injury if he plays too many games one after the other. "So, I've got to hope that the ones who just seem to keep going - the Duracell bunnies; the Kuyts, the Lucas Leivas of this world - can keep us going and give me a chance of giving a rest to the others." The fixture pile up follows the postponement of games against Fulham and Blackpool over the festive period due to ice and snow. Hodgson admits it is a frustration. "It's disappointing but it's not just like that for us - it's the same for all the teams in the league," he said. "We've got a couple of matches in hand to play, which doesn't help I suppose, but I think you'll find a lot of teams have a lot of matches coming up. "Our good fortune is that the squad going into these matches is relatively whole. "We don't have that many injuries, touch wood, so going into it our squad seems quite big and we probably have a little bit more chances of changing things around than some other teams. "But if we are going to win games it is the Torreses, the Gerrards, the Reinas - these are the people really that are going to be the ones to get us up the table and lift us above the rest."
Can't honestly say I expect to win ANY game anymore unfortunately. But if the players show fight like in the second half against Bolton we should be able to win this. Let's get this bloody awful away form sorted for 2011.
They are some god almighty depressing stats. I would take 2 nil nil's in our league games, I expect a heavy defeat against the scum.
Can't see us win this one - hope I'm wrong though. With Meireles injured, and without Gerrard, I wonder who the 2nd CM will be. Hope it's not Pulsen.
