Lads has anyone any experience buying a car this way. Merlin or Wilson auctions or similar? Going to the merlin one tonight just wondering if it's a good way to get a good deal.
Just make sure the car you buy has a Grade of 3 or 4 anything else is troublesome. Mosts cars bought at auction do need some servicing and body repair
Some good deals can be had if your lucky but remember the cars are going through the auctions are there for a reason, might be only small things but you may not be aware of them until you have purchased the vehicle and driven it. Two people I know bought cars and had huge problems that couldnt be diagnosed whithout driving the car, clutch/flywheel issues which ran up big money to be repaired.
Also keep your wits about when bidding and remember all the related charges such as different percentages depending on the price of the vehicle.
