House Alarm Problem

hope someone could give me some advice here.

Battery went in the house alarm,changed that and its coming up mains fault.Rang sharp security and they said it seems its not connected to the mains and will cost 300 euro for call out and repair.

Alarm is still working off the new battery and dont want to/cant pay 300 quid for call out.

How long will the battery last or is there anything else i could do myself.

Also would a standard electrican be able to help?

Would be unusual for a mains fault to just happen randomly i would have thought! Have you checked the fuses etc?

 

yeah fuses all fine.New battery got it working again but just coming up on panel-Mains fault.But alarm is working though.odd

 

Wonder is it just an error that needs to be cleared? If you remove the battery does it still work?

 

no wont work without the battery.But battery is rechargeable so ill just keep recharging it

 

I had a similar issue with my alarm recently, battery needed to be changed and it solved the 'fuse' warning light issue too. Post the issue on this forum;

On a side note got Khan round 6-9 at 6/1.Nice double with himself at that and Macklin rounds 4-6.
