I really can't see England beating us.As a team we are streets ahead of them but obviously they are better individually. With the crowd well up for this I could see us sneaking it.
Another bullshit story - game not happening in the next 18 months at the very least. Second time this story has surfaced in the last 6 months.
I give it 3 months before this story comes back up again.... http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2010/1210/ireland_england.html
Can't see why the fai would bother arranging a match with England? France, now that would be worth the money - eh Henri?
Archive article on the last time they tried this: http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/sport/2010/0203/1224263658507.html Scary stuff.
It looks like this game will finally get the green light providing Ireland qualify and manage to avoid England in December's draw.Personally I would rather we get England in the draw but it will be good to play them again either way.
Doesn't look like this one will be going ahead for a while http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...'s-england-friendly-'highly-unlikely'?cc=5739
