bein a teenager i know very little about what is going on in this country at the minute like i no the basics but dont no a great detail about it but the thing i always ask people wen they say the government hav 2 go is:

can the opposition actually do anything different than what the government is doing now??

like were all asking for a new government but the opposition ar jus acting big and strong shouting across the dail tellin the government wat they would and wouldn't do but really tats jus to make people vote 4 them as they would probably do the exact same ting cowan and co did... tats jus an opinion from a person tats not even old enough 2 vote yet... correct me if i wrong

Used to see hin down at the dogs in Mullingar. Sound as a pound he was...

As leader of the country though, we would be safer with Zig and Zig than him and Lenihan. I would say Lenihan said 'in relation to' 50 times in the press conference.

Whatever about then two though, people should be getting down to Berties gaff. The biggest bullshitter of them all.

    Exactly!

Bertie seems to be getting away with any mention in all of this when his government & policies is what has us here in the first place!

Is there anyone better?? No imo,

Fine Gael would've been in a better position had Bruton won the leadership coup! Kenny is as big a clown as this lot

Labour are the unions, Gilmore used to be a union secretary! They'd be afraid to do anything which would upset their union buddies!

Sinn Fein - Not gonna start this on here but you either love them or hate them, i'm in the former.

Greens - Too busy with their own agenda

Bertie and Blair in Britain were sly and got out just before the bubble burst and have managed to stay blame free in this somehow.

Still to this day I claim the health system is a joke in this country, anyone who has had a loved one who has been treated or worse died under thus regime I'm sure will agree with me. I, in no way, direct that at the wonderful staff who work in our health environments- they are subjected to working with and in a joke of a system. Shame on you finna fail your a fcuking joke.

@rev Bertie, although I admire him for being a complete and utter chancer (dating back to his first election campaign when he ran for 'a laugh' and when he jumped into bed with Haughey-then when he was ear marked for head of Finna fail 15 years in advance) he jumped cos he knew what was coming and statically he will go down as our greatest Taoiseach ever!? He's as bad as the rest but the difference is, he was a cleaver Cnut.

Is he a bigger prick than Bertie, Reynold's, John Bruton, Enda Kenny, Pat Rabbitt,McGreavy,Harney, McDowell or Michael Noonin? I'm not sure that he is to be honest. It just happens that he was the man in charge when the shit hit the fan.

I have a brother who lives in Germany and is just back from India. We are all over the news in both places and we had a chat about this today. We are both in agreement that as a nation we got what we deserved. Greed got a hold of our soul and we are gonna have to take the pain for a good few years. If blaming Bertie or Cowen makes people feel a little better than fair enough but that's not going to stop this scenario repeating itself again a few years down the line.

BTW I do think he is a prick.

Hey howmany out there nd maybe on here had to have new cars bigger houses 3 holidys year and countless jollies around the world shopping trips to new york and splashing the cash as if they were millionairs. We (missus and meself)never went mad and stuck a good few pound away for the rainy day now the FCUKers up in the dail getting paid 300k a year want us to pay for all the big spenders while they dont take a paycut. Might strike a nerve here but I haven't employed anyone who could justify getting paid 500 euro a week and some of these boys could work. Show me anyone whos worth paying 100k a year to. Public pay should be gutted and if they dont like it then let them leave and as soon as possible imo. I will not pay anymore to this system until it is changed I hoope the imf and eu cut the bollix out of the public pay bill

They will, crying about 10% paycuts will be nothing compared to the 25% cut in staffing they will look for.

As said above I feel Aherne has a lot to answer for, he was running the hsow in the goodtimes and lined his pockets, then left and Cowan took over the poison chalice, Ahern should be made answer for all the cock ups when times were good.
