just wondering if anyone who might work or understands how ebay works might be able to help me on this one. i won a auction today on a present for someone and paid for it after i won only to find out after i got back from the pub i'd an email saying that my money was refunded because the person who was selling got a better offer somewhere else? Is it not a binding contract ? Fairly pissed off about it.
**** surely that cant be right..After you won the bidding process which is a auction, and you paided your money as the winner of the auction, surely that good or service is your's unless the goods are faulty or not as what they are decribed. Id be contacting either PAYPAL or Ebay, as this doesnt seem right. No one should be able to come in after the auction and out bid you, hence why there is a time frame on the auction.Seems pretty simple to be, that you are in the Right, and the person doesnt want to sell to you, because he or she is getting a far superior offer else where.
I would definitely be contacting ebay asap if I were you.Once you win the auction the seller can't accept another offer.
contact ebay with the name of the person you where buying it off and let them know about it...they should get it sorted...you should also leave negitive feedback on the selling page to warn others about them
this is what ebay have on the site Here's some information about: The seller doesn't want to complete the sale When a seller puts an item on eBay and a buyer wins it, the seller and buyer have entered into a contract and need to complete the transaction. If the seller has withdrawn or refuses to complete the sale, please let us know - they may be breaching our non-performance policy. If they have made it clear that they won't continue with the sale and they aren't communicating with you, you can: - open a case to report you have not received your item - leave appropriate Feedback for them to let other members know you had a bad experience. Find out more about our Seller Non-Performance policy - you can also get to the 'Report the seller' link from this page. i've sent them off an email anyway to see what the craic is. Thanks for the replys lads
Just a quick question, if your buying something(golf clubs) from a "Top-Rated Seller" with 100% positive feedback, based in the UK, is it safe to do so?
yes I would think so. The delivery might cost a bit though so keep an eye on that. Have a read through the reviews others have posted about them and you'll have a better idea yourself.
Delivery is only 17quid. Look to have got a great deal, so just wanted to check before commiting. Thanks mate
