I'm looking to ship bowling balls from the us to ireland, does anyone know if i will face charges from tax or whatever when they come into the country or will they just arrive at my door? The website i was on said to check with my local authorities but just wanted to see if anyone on here knew. Thanks
I'd advise contacting SOC from here before you buy your bowling balls. He recently was Ireland's representative at the Bowling World Cup! I'm guessing he'll know a thing or two about them
Unless they're marked as ''a gift'' they'll be held by the courier/An Post until 21%VAT is paid on items over E22
Looking to get the misses uggs and get them shipped to mate in San fran, anyone know if these can then be sent to Ireland then by post? Don't wana get stung for tax or not sure if any duty be due on them
don't go near them 1/ they could be fake 2/ whether they're genuine or not you will be stung for taxes & a service charge for an post best way around it,pay extra and send them ups/dhl.
everything gets checked coming through customs... whoever you get your balls sent by you will be charged tax... Cowen and the tax man like to stick thier fat fingers into anything they can, esp big balls... Bought tools off an American site and had to pay savage tax when they arrived....My advise be prepered to pay tax, if you dont have to pay any tax all of a sudden your up a few sheckles
There from the ugg site so legit alright. They are 325 euro in shop here (mad money) can get them delivered in us for 160 euro so was going to dhl them as we use them in work Thing is we pay duty and tax on stuff so wasn't sure if be same for a 'gift'
dude, DHL or any other courier will still demand the VAT be paid before you get the item ! this is from experience!
padski send me a pm on what uggs your looking for , my mate was saying the other day he can get proper ones cheaper here as he knows someone or something, as i said, pm the details of what u are looking for, colour size etc, i cant make any promises but i will do my best
@ Red Paddy - this is what i feared would be case @ djdwainec - nice one for offer, may just take you up on that offer of help, for now looking into other options to send them as may have one other option to ship with goods for work and pass on costs... May be back but gracius for the advise
just throwing it out there, but if you stipulate the item be taken out of the packaging etc (looks second hand) surely it COULD NOT be stopped for VAT?
