tough game but i'm expecting to see a reaction after the wigan game. if jones plays i hope we have soto back otherwise could be a long day
Out of the 2 games (Wigan & Stoke) I tought if we were going to drop points then it would be to Stoke but after last night we need the the 3 points to keep the momentem going. Last night felt like a defeat to me and really frustrated me but we can keep this good little run going with max points Saturday evening. Would like to see a few fresh legs brought in to the starting 11 too. Going to be a tough fixture but need to come away with the points.
Had we won last night i would have forgiven Hodgson & the team if they played a bit negative against Stoke but thats not the case now so go there & win the game. I'm not looking foward to it to be honest but we can beat them. Just depends which Liverpool turns up. Last Sunday's or last nights. Night & Day really.
like i said about the wigan game we have to be looking to take 3 points for this game stoke not in the best of form just like wigan so we should go for the win fingers crossed
I don't like to be negative but I thought before last night that of the three games after Chelsea, Stoke away was going to be the toughest. I thought minimum 7 points needed to be collected from Wigan, West Ham and Stoke. That can still be done but a win at Stoke is not as easy as the table might suggest. They've won 3 and drawn 1 of six matches at home. At least our captain had the right attitude after the game last night.
-----Reina----- Kelly Skrtel Kyriagos Konchesky Johnson Lucas Gerrard Maxi -----Ngog Torres--------- would like to see this team saturday
fair play to you glen, you always try stay postivie no matter what. fingers crossed alright, if we win then a great result in tough ground
Johnson ahead of Kuyt We'll do well to get a point. They will kick Torres into next week and the ref will be in the other half with our 10 other players leaving Shawcross and Faye too laugh their bollix off. I expect a defeat unfortunatley
Think we will see more of the same. Safety first and hope Torres and Gerrard can do something at sharp end. Games won this season West Brom - Torres winner Blackburn - Torres winner Bolton - Maxi winner assisted by Torres Chelsea - Two Torres goals Games drew Arsenal - Ngog Sunderland - two Torres assists for Kuyt and Gerrard Brum- 0-0 Wigan - Torres 14-16 points directly involved massive contributions from Torres, even in defeat to United two Torres assists as well. This all from a player who is unhappy and unfit for most the season. Simple fact is get the ball to Torres and he will create something or score. Leave him isolated for 80 mins and he can't do anything. Get him some support against Stoke Roy because he is in for a kicking.
i would put kuyt in but i feel he may not be really sharp just coming back from injury and having played chelsea and wigan
What with all the press recently about ref's decisions going against Stoke have a feeling one will go there way this time at our expense.A draw looks likely but we can win this.
Reina Kelly Carra Soto Konchesky Lucas/Meireles Johnson Gerrard Kuyt Torres Not to play with 1 up front, id like 2 up front, Gerrard and Torres, if not this, drop someone and get Ngog up there
For me Soto must start if available- there will be a serious amount of aerial challenges close to our goal. I think Kelly may miss out as Carra and Glen are probably ahead of him in the managers eyes. We looked wrecked through stages of yesterday's game with no real spark for over an hour.

This will be a tough game, be interesting to see how Pennant gets on against Konchesky (assuming they both start). The same fixture last year The Greek scored for us but Huth equalised in the 90th minute for them and that was without both Torres & Gerrard. A win here will be a very good result, hopefully based on Rocco's post above Stoke rest a few players.
Cole and Glen out and Soto back http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...n-ruled-out-of-trip-to-stoke-100252-27649687/
