how to catch mice

    any tips on how to catch the little blighters? i went into kitchen to make a cuppa when i saw a mouse run accross the counter he went under microwave so i pulled tht out and there he was crouched in the corner we had a bit of a face off while i contemplated on how to catch him i took my eye off him for two secs and he was gone cute fecker anyway i have a couple of live traps whats the best thing to put in to them i heard before that they actualy not gone on cheese:eek:dont know where he is now where is the best place to put the traps i hate the thought of him being in the house now and i dare not tell herself or she would never go in the kitchen again:D

    Mates of mine used peanut butter when they where renting a gaf before, they caught a few of them anyway.

    Chocolate, butter, or the best one is bacon,. Stick a trap behind the fridge, freezer, dryer, they love the warmth, its probably only a little field mouse looking for some heat,. if you can catch him without harming him, and then release him thatd be great,.

    Don't bother with cheese, use a piece of rasher and burn it with a lighter before putting it in the trap. The smell of the cooked rasher will draw them out straight away. They don't travel on their own so you'll have at least 2 or 3 most likely.

    Make sure you properly disinfect your counter if they've been running across it!

    Peanut butter works as does bacon fat, place the traps along skerting boards as they normally try stay close to the sides, you will also need to try find where there getting into your house from,

    Cook it,. or as a post below says, use a lighter to cook it over the the trap then stick it down, they love the stuff,.

    its a live trap so it wont be killed ill just let it go ive just put a bit of milky way choc in for now see how that works ill check it in morn

    The fat off a rasher is the best thing to use,the little ****ers love it..

    B&Q do a little plastic box with green chemical stuff (tissue like) in it that attracts the mice. They eat the stuff and disappear. Had a colony of mice about two years ago and havent seen one since.

    Only got rid of the little cnut in my room. Going to buy one of them plug in things that sends out the signal.
