The big dish of danny le roo is nearly ready - mmmmmmmmmmmmm On evenings like this is there a better feed that a Stew or For us Dubs a bowl of glen hoddle !
ye can't bate the oul glen hoddle,i'd ate a skipload of the stuff.. what have ye got in the stew gerry?
Ah the stew is the dogs Gerry. Dont forget a couple of slices of bread and butter for the wipe at the end. As for coddle fcuk that it's rank
I have to add some madras curry powder half hr before serving. yum!!! In fact I would put curry powder on my cornflakes
Carrotts, onions, parsnips and stewing beef fire in an oxo and a packet oxtail soup and a big handful of garden peas 10 mins before serving on a load of mash, happy days!!!
years ago me mate's family used to have coddle for their breakfast every sunday morning before they went to mass, used to always make sure to knock for him early every sunday..
i could take or leave the parsnips but you're on to a winner there.maybe bang in a few sausages as well.
I remember when I was a young lad and it'd be the end of the night after the mass stations were had at a farmers house - all the old folks would be digging into a think called goodie - a load bread mixed in a bowl of warm milk! Was supposed to be mighty stuff after a feed of drink.
My brother used to eat mashed boiled eggs, butter and bread in a cup, he called that goodie, weird the things you remember
Your brother wasnt alone, used to mash the egg up in a cup as a kid too but the toast didnt follow in after it
Thats how the wife makes it, it's lovely but I prefer a load of mince beef that stewing beef. It's not as bad as you'd think, Superquinn sausages make all the difference
