We stopped off in Brum on our way to Slovakia. The Wetherspoons will be open, but they won't serve you til 9am. I think the bar upstairs(landside)if it's still there serves before 9, and you can definitely get carry out in the airport.

got into the briar rose in the city centre early enough for a few its up a hill off new st cant think of the name theres amusements on the corner of it and new st.up at the ground is a disaster though theres only the aston hotel and the witton house and both charge in.ended up in the witton house its segragated so i had to listen to the mancs in their half.couldnt get back into it though after the game, season ticket holders only apparently.the two pubs are right on a roundabout just down from the ground on the doug ellis stands side
