Anyone have any experience with smoke damage? My wifes parents nextdoor neighbours house burnt down, everyone is ok but the house is proper gutted. Smoke travelled through the attick and now the whole house stinks. An accessor is going to call out and look at it soon, basically does anyone know how long the smell will linger for, is there other damage that might not be obvious that they should look out for? This happened to my Aunt and afaik she hired a loss adjuster to survey the place and make sure they got every cent for cleaners etc
