Very old thread and apologies for bumping in but it seems to me that there is substantial investment being put into the Liverpool Ladies team this season. Why is this the case?

In the last few weeks the Ladies have signed a top US player, a top Icelandic player and a top Swedish player. What is this all about?

I am probably coming across as a sexist fuddy duddy but all I care about is the results of the mens squad and the progress of our academy players.

Revenue, there's an extra market to tap into, and for a relatively low cost you can get the best players.
