i am not sure about B. Brogan either, he won't want his good looks spoiled.

I'd have big Galvin off Limerick in there like a hot shot. He'd only be too willing to throw his weight around.
Ricey McMenamin, the dirt bag, should be in there aswell. You need sly and strong players in there.

Although he's not had his best year, thought Pearse O'Neill would be ideal for this.

The advertising campaign for this has been embarrassing. The GAA really need to wake up to modern promotion

michaelo darragh mcauley??? was arguably the dubs best player in my view and i include brogan in that, strong as an ox aswell, and begley is purely picked cause he has aussie rules experience because it isnt on current form for club or county.

mcmenamin would be way too light weight, he wouldnt get away with sly digs with the aussies theyll just lift him out of it. he wouldnt be able to go blow to blow with them, imo

Good effort by Ireland in last 1/4. Aussies played last five mins very cooly. Right about The advertising for this, a complete joke. Only realised it was on when flicked through the channels. The fact it's on TG4 shows how far it's fallen. First game was not even on live in Perth Australia according a mate over there.

Was at the game last night, there was over 61,000 there.

Ireland only played well in the last quarter. But the Aussies just done enough to get them the victory. But they were the better team overall. They missed some easy chances, could have been a lot further ahead...Ireland gave themselves too much to do...

    I'd agree with that ....

Also, bit of a shame the 61,000 plus supporters didn't come to life a bit earlier on, was amazing when Irish fans started to get behind their national team in the final quarter and I think helped the team significantly

Also a funny moment when they realised there were 16 Irish on the pitch at the same time :D

Can't say I ever got a handle on who was actually enforcing the rules at the match, with apparently two referees on the pitch, a further two linesmen, two lads who ran on and off the pitch quite regularly, in "glow in the dark" green etc.

When the crowd got behind the team in the last quarter it was amazing....when the Aussie captain Goodes was making his speech he said he never heard anything like it even at a AFL game....

It was funny when they lined the Irish team up to count them!! But sure there was people all over the place...between officials, runners, that 'glow in the dark' fella and water boys...crazy stuff!!!!
