Was Looking for Two Spares9not for me but for someone who ahs helped here before) for this please if anyone can help please pm me
ill make a phone call tonight gerry but i know its a scramble the game is being played in a 10,000 seater and ireland got 1029 tickets and i think there is double that amount going
is it in the same stadium as the last time we played over there? In 2007 i think. I was at that match myself, and there was a good few empty seats in the stadium, we'd no problem getting tickets. Could be different now though.
It's being played in Zilina, 250 odd kilometres from Bratislava. Luckily enough the FAI are throwin on a free return train. Think ill get it on the way back, but will get an early train on match day. It's also only an 11,000 seater stadium and we only got 1,092 tickets. The FAI say they had 2,000 applications from Block Bookers and Season Ticket Holders, and they just binned any applications from outside of that. Im also on the lookout for 1 ticket at the moment, but only after Gerry gets sorted. Thanks
Heard stories of lads getting tickets outside the stadium three years ago but seeing as it's in a different place now it doesn't look great for anyone heading without a ticket. Bit of a farce really alright, is it in that stadium Chelsea played a couple weeks ago?
I remember the FAI made a complaint to UEFA when it was first announced but it fell on deaf ears as usual.
Yeah its in the Stadium Chelsea played in a few weeks ago. Tidy little stadium. The FAI have been messed around by the Slovakian FA, who appear to have been some silly politics going on by them. They have to inform the visiting team of the venue at least 60 days before the match. They left it until the last week, then told the FAI/Uefa in a letter that the game would be played in Bratislava. The FAI reported this on their website and so everyone made arrangements for Bratislava. But the stadium in Bratislava is being rebuilt and isnt really suitable,so the Slovakians came in at the last minute, with exactly 60 days to go, and said 'actually the game is going to be played in Zilina'..Cowboys. The 2nd biggest stadium(17,000) is in Tvarna, but the club there are in dispute with the Slovakian FA. So all in all its been a bit of a circus. Looking forward to 5 days out there all the same! And have a ticket for myself.
jaysus paddy bratislava and the dam in the space of a week your flute will be glowing by the time your done
anyone else know of where i can get some spare need 4 its a nightmare trying to get them, even if someone has one ill take it
The veue for this match was never Bratislava - the FAI made their usual mess of things by saying it was to be in Bratislava Got it from an extremely reliable source that the FAI made the cock-up and then tried to blame the Slovaks....... any surprise here?...... don't think so Anyway, I know there are a few IK lads looking for tickets - I'm in the same boat - looking for 3, but will take anything that's going YNWA Ray2007 PM if any sniff of a ticket
And that is why they are putting on a free train from Bratislava to Zilina.I didn't think they had it in them.
Well, given that they are struggling to sell tickets for matches in Lansdowne (oops, Aviva) they need to create some goodwill with the 'football family'!! Sure, I'm sure John Delaney could pay for the train out of his own pocket! Still looking for tickets for Tuesday.......................... anybody out there............. YNWA Ray2007
had flites booked to bratislava, however made the decision not to travel. not prepared to go over there to watch the game in the pub. I think its a disgrace this game was not played in a bigger venue, when one was available (and initally confirmed as the venue) a case of the FAI, and more importantly the irish fans, getting dicked on once again
