This is my 3,000 post on this great website and I would like to dedicate this post to Pam and other persons who also need organ transplants.

I was at the Sub bar last Saturday night. On the tables were Donor cards. I brought one home with me and have since signed the card as has my Mrs. up to then I would never have thought of carrying a card.

For those IK site members who were not at the venue last Saturday night and who would like to become organ donors you can get involved online and fill out an application to become a donor at http://www.ika.ie/index.php?option=com_facileforms&Itemid=50

It was a great idea to have them on the table on the night. Everyone should have one

I have an organ doner card and I donate blood and have donated platelets also.I always try to encourage others to donate blood since my old man got sick when the blood stock was low.It is so little effort and it makes a big difference.

Please carry a donor card. In my job we deliver to people with renal failure and cystic fibrosis everyday and I see the hardship they have to endure. You can also tick the box on the back of your driving licence to become a donor.

I don't carry an organ donar card but I think the system should work in reverse. It should be presumed unless you have a card stating otherwise , that you are willing to donate your organs once you pass because lets face it we don't need them once we're gone.
