I've been there a few times,its good craic but to be honest I'd only go again if I had seats up the front.90+% of the seats are too far away,Ye have to watch on the screens,sure Ye may as well be watching it at home on the telly. As far as I know Ye can only get tkts up the front if Ye book tkts for every night/session,if anyone knows any different let us know..
The last 6 years I have just paid on the door but I've never been after a Thursday night, Im nearly 100% sure you can pre-order them directly from the Citywest and collect them on the night.
Went to two of these with some mates. As Willie said you can't see a thing down the back it's tellies on the walls and pillars. But my God is it a mother of a session. If you don't end up dancing on a table by the end of the night you're doing it wrong. Remember once being stupidly drunk talking to Dennis "The Menace" Priestley about how great he is, and I haven't a feckin clue about darts
The missus got me two tickets for the semi final on saturday and two tickets for the final on sunday too, so i cant wait to go.. Going to be a great weekend...
Best night to go is the Friday,quarter finals night.Ye get to see 4 games and most of the top players..
Went to this a few years back when it took place on the Bank Holiday weekend.I wish it kept those dates as you don't have to worry about getting up for work the next morning.The Citywest is a nightmare to get to and even harder to get away from.Got tickets to the semi and final.The semi on the Saturday was a much better night as you get 2 matches.
Actually, for anyone going the first time keep this in mind. One year it took almost two hours to get a taxi home and that was lucky at that!
I managed to hitch a lift over there but the queue for the taxi afterwards was crazy.Think I was waiting for over an hour before sharing with a few lads to the city center.The sooner the Luas extension is completed the better if it's still going ahead.
Went last year to the Q/finals, best nights craic iv had in years! wont make it this year unfortunately
The LUAS there would be great. But like the proposed one here (Lucan/Newcastle Rd) I'd say it'll be a while
Looks like it could be completed by May 2011 so getting to next years World Grand Prix darts will be a hell of a lot easier. I'm lucky.I'm on the Sandyford to Cherrywood line.Up and running in a few weeks.
