These guys are becoming a force to be reckoned with,I wounder if Sly Sports are getting worried.

Setanta Sports have added to our live premium football content with the securing of exclusive broadcast rights to nearly all of the 2010 World Cup away qualifiers involving England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

I read recently that Murdoch has bought a stake in them, so I reckon eventually he will take them over and it will be virtually all the one.

Hi

I'd think the competition authority will prevent Murdoch from taking them over myself - while Im very pleased to see them competing with Sky for veiwers, I do find myself asking if they really are in competition though ... be interesting to see which one drops their prices first to win new customers ;)

The good thing about Sentanta is that it isnt annual subscription you can pay for one month then skip one then get it the next.

I still find it a bit stupid when Im watching setanta and they say press the red button to find out how to subscribe to sentanta sports. Doesnt the fact that you are already watching setanta defeat the need for a red button.

What could really make Setanta is how many Premiership games they get when the next bidding campaign comes around in a few years. If they get anywhere near, or equal Sky games wise things could get very interesting in the world of Premiership football.
