Sounds dodgy, the US are very into their religion with the Catholic League and all this stuff. I dont see them taking the church having the piss ripped out of it each week too well unless its on screened Showtime or HBO.

Good God no. Don't do it. Fr Ted is classic TV (still watch it when it's on) and it'd be a travesty to "re-make" it with a bunch of Americanisms
Father Thomas One of the reasons, I don't watch American comedies here, is because I can't understand their humour. Similiarly Yanks, won't understand the difference between Feck and the "bad F word, you know the one I mean" The amount of bleeping required for Ted's rant at Dougal during the Eurovision show, would probably break all records there.
